A Three-Minute Armpit and Shoulder Stretch for Posture, Upper Arms, and Bust: Hinata Kato's Routine

Open on YouTube ↗
Overview

In this short session from the channel Hina Channel, Hinata Kato demonstrates a three-minute stretch for the upper arms and the area around the armpits and shoulders. They present it as very effective for rounded shoulders, a hunched back, and increasing bust size. To make the effect visible, they work on one side of the body at a time so viewers can compare the stretched side against the unstretched side.

Step One: Armpit Rotations

The routine starts at the armpit. Kato instructs viewers to insert four fingers into the armpit and hold the muscles there with the thumb, then rotate the arm backward ten times while counting aloud.

Step Two: Loosening the Lats

Next, viewers grab the latissimus dorsi (the "lats") and circle the arm behind them ten times. Kato's explanation is that when this area loosens, the shoulder blades come together and slouching is "greatly improved."

Step Three: The Back of the Shoulder, and Why It Matters

The third movement stretches the back of the shoulder for 20 seconds. Kato spends the most time explaining this one. In their account, stiffness here leads to a chain of problems. The shoulders round forward, the trapezius tenses, the base of the neck bulges, and a hunched back develops. They add that when this happens the rib cage in the chest area sinks, which they say works against increasing bust size. That is why they urge viewers to stretch this area thoroughly.

Step Four: Side Stretch on All Fours

The final movement is done on all fours with the arms extended forward. Kato points to the middle of the armpit and says that if you feel that spot stretching, you are doing it correctly. They stress deep breathing throughout. They also say that stretching the upper body this thoroughly loosens the muscles and improves posture, and they claim it tightens and slims the face as well.

The Before-and-After Comparison

After finishing the first side, Kato holds both arms out to the camera to show a visible difference between the stretched side and the unstretched side. They react strongly, calling it shocking and amazing, and insist that "this is not a scam." Their interpretation is that the difference is evidence the muscles have relaxed and returned to their original position.

They then repeat the full sequence on the left side: ten armpit rotations, ten lat circles, 20 seconds on the back of the shoulder, and the all-fours side stretch. They keep reminding viewers to breathe deeply and get blood flowing. Kato says frequent stretching like this builds good muscle, makes the body less prone to stiffness, improves posture, and relieves shoulder stiffness. They particularly recommend it for women because, in their view, it also helps increase bust size. At the end they note that their arms now appear to be the same length.

Kato's Reasoning: Stiffness, Posture, and Blood Flow

In the wrap-up, Kato explains the idea behind the routine. Stiff muscles alone can change posture considerably and make blood vessels more prone to congestion. They see good blood flow as central to dieting, reducing upper-arm fat, building muscle, and increasing bust size, because blood is what carries nutrients to those areas. So they encourage viewers to keep blood circulating around the chest and shoulders.

Kato says they were also surprised when they first learned this from a "bone and muscle professional." According to that explanation, stiff muscles in this area pull the shoulders inward, which is why relaxing them and getting them back into shape matters.

An Anecdote About Posture and Presence

To illustrate how much posture affects appearance, Kato shares a recent experience. They walk or take the train to the hair salon, and while out for a touch-up the day before, two viewers recognized them. Kato reads a comment from one of them saying their back was so beautiful the viewer couldn't bring themselves to speak to them. Kato responds that they would actually love for viewers to come and talk to them.

From this, Kato concludes that simply moving and caring for the spine can create a noticeable aura. Good posture can change how your clothes look and also lengthens the neck. They end by encouraging viewers to try the stretch for themselves.
