Privacy policy

This policy explains what information FastTube (the fasttube.cc website and the Chrome extension) collects and how it is used.

Information we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email address, name and profile picture. In the extension, we record the videos you open in the Article and Transcript tabs (video ID, title, language and time) and how many videos you have used this month. If you are not signed in, we count usage with a random identifier created by the extension and a non-reversible value derived from your IP address. The extension sends the captions and title of the video you are viewing so that the article can be prepared. The website uses Google Analytics to measure traffic.

How we use it

We use this information only to sign you in, apply the monthly usage limit, show the list of videos you have read, prepare articles and prevent abuse. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.

Sharing with third parties

We do not share personally identifiable information with third parties except where required by law. To run the service we use Cloudflare (hosting), Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments) and Google Analytics (traffic measurement).

Payments

If you subscribe to Pro, Stripe processes the payment. FastTube does not receive your card number; we keep only your Stripe customer ID and the state of your subscription (plan, billing interval and renewal date).

Deleting your information

Signing out invalidates the sign-in on that device. To delete your account and the record of videos you have read, email mail@fasttube.cc and include your Google account email address.
