100 Kids vs. the World's Strongest Man: A Day of Mismatched Showdowns

Open on YouTube ↗
Overview

MrBeast (Jimmy) frames the video around one question: in a game of tug of war, who wins, the strongest man on earth or 100 kids? Before answering it, he stages a series of lopsided one-on-one contests. Elite athletes and specialists face celebrities, amateurs, and crowds, usually with money, a car, or bragging rights at stake. Some go the way you would expect. Several do not.

The Fastest Woman on the Planet vs. 100 Men

The first event pits Melissa, introduced as the fastest woman on the planet, against 100 men in a race. Jimmy asks when she won her three gold medals. Her answer is "two weeks ago." He then asks one of the men how many gold medals he has, and the answer is zero. The men are loudly confident ("We're not losing!"). Privately, Melissa says she is confident she will beat them.

To raise the stakes, Jimmy offers $100,000 to anyone who crosses the finish line ahead of her. The race is closer than expected at first. Melissa leads, but runner number 35 gains on her before she speeds up again and finishes first. Jimmy notes that 35 was "not too far behind." Melissa congratulates that runner, who says they don't run track, and she suggests they probably should. Jimmy sums up the result with the obvious punchline: the fastest woman in the world is very fast.

DJ Khaled on a Jet Ski vs. a Jet Suit Racer

Next is DJ Khaled, introduced with mock grandeur as the "#1 jet ski racer on the planet." Khaled says he "runs the ocean" and doesn't care who else is on a jet ski. The twist is that his opponent is not on a jet ski. Issa is billed as the number-one jet suit racer in the world. Khaled says he doesn't know what a jet suit is. Jimmy admits he didn't either until he learned that people actually race in them. The winner gets a large trophy, and Jimmy jokes about needing to have one made before the race ends.

The race is one lap through a course. Khaled leads early, but Issa catches up on the straightaway. The commentators note that the turns are where the jet ski could make up ground. Khaled briefly gains in the final turns. Then he starts celebrating while the race is still going, and Issa finishes first in what Jimmy calls "a blowout." Khaled refuses to accept the result. He declares "We the best!", insists he won, tells Jimmy "we all winners," and asks for his trophy so he can put it beside his others. Jimmy lets it go: Issa definitely won, but congratulations to Khaled anyway.

Speed vs. Khalid: A Soccer Rematch by Proxy

The third event revisits an earlier video. Khalid had beaten Cristiano Ronaldo in a target-shooting game, which Jimmy jokes might make Khalid the best soccer player in the world. Now he faces Speed, described as Ronaldo's biggest fan. If Speed wins, Jimmy will give one of Speed's fans $100,000. If Khalid wins, Khalid keeps the money. The rules match the Ronaldo game: the first to hit three targets wins.

Khalid is openly confident. He says he called the Ronaldo match a 50/50 chance, but now puts his odds at 90/10. Speed says he is playing for Ronaldo and for his fans, and argues that Ronaldo "wasn't trying" back then.

Speed misses his first shot badly. Khalid's first attempt comes close, then he scores and celebrates in Speed's face. Khalid goes up 2–0. Jimmy says he has known Speed for a while and could tell Speed was genuinely getting angry. The commentators point out that the match is following the Ronaldo game "to a T," and Jimmy warns that Speed is about to be beaten 3–0.

Then Speed hits a target and the match turns. The commentators note that Speed has gone unusually silent; Jimmy calls it the quietest he has ever seen him. Khalid struggles to land his third and final target, and Speed ties it at 2–2. Asked to say something to the world, Speed answers with one word: "Ronaldo." With the next hit deciding everything, Khalid misses his chance, and Speed hits the final target. One of Speed's fans wins $100,000, and the two players exchange "GGs."

Setting Up the Finale: The Plane Pull

At this point the video introduces the strongest man in the world, who will face 100 kids later. To show how strong he is, he attempts to pull a plane weighing more than 50,000 pounds over 75 feet while the kids watch. At first the plane doesn't budge. Then it starts moving, and he completes the pull. The kids are still defiant ("We're gonna win!", "You suck!"). Jimmy asks whether they really think they can beat him, and holds the answer for the end of the video.

Chandler at Bat in a Savannah Bananas Game

The fourth challenge happens during a real Savannah Bananas baseball game in front of about 40,000 people. Jimmy had two random seats picked from the crowd, belonging to Kyla W. and Bowin H. Chandler, one of Jimmy's regular crew members, goes up to bat. If Chandler gets on base, Kyla wins $50,000. If the opposing team, the Tailgaters, gets him out, or if anyone in the stadium catches the ball, Bowin wins $50,000. Chandler gets three pitches and three strikes.

Chandler takes a strike on the first pitch. On the next one he hits a foul into the stands, and a fan catches it, which counts as an out. Bowin thanks Chandler for the money and says he showed up to the game and won $50,000 "because Chandler sucks." The team also tracks down the fan who caught the ball, Brian, and gives him $10,000 for getting Chandler out.

Jimmy offers Chandler a second chance with another $50,000, though they have to wait for the next inning because this is a real game. This time, Kyla wins $50,000 if Chandler reaches base, and Brian wins $50,000 on top of his $10,000 if Chandler is put out. Brian gives Chandler batting advice ("keep your eye on the ball… use your hips"). Chandler swings and misses on the first pitch, then puts the ball in play and runs for first. The play is close, but he is out. Brian's child is told "your dad just won fifty grand," and says yes, their dad is now the coolest dad. Asked if he has anything to say, Chandler manages only an uncertain "I'm sorry?"

An Amateur Golfer, Bryson DeChambeau, and a Tesla in a Lake

Jimmy calls the golf challenge one of the closest competitions they have ever done. A Tesla sits in the middle of a lake. Johnny, who Jimmy stresses really is a random guy they found on a golf course (after confirming he subscribes to MrBeast and is free for a couple of hours), keeps the car if he hits it. His opponent is Bryson DeChambeau, introduced as a two-time major champion and one of the greatest golfers alive. If DeChambeau hits the Tesla first, his biggest fan gets the car. To even things out, Johnny gets three shots for each of DeChambeau's.

Johnny's first shot lands just in front of the Tesla, and even DeChambeau thinks it might hit. Johnny's next two shots go wide. DeChambeau's shots get steadily closer. One goes right, one sails just over the car, and two hit the dock next to the Tesla. Bystanders call the setup "rigged." Johnny keeps pulling his shots, and the crew notices he is getting tired.

Chandler then offers to take Johnny's shots, saying he can do it in five tries. The shots still count for Johnny. To rattle him, Nolan honks a horn mid-swing, and Chandler guesses who did it. On what Jimmy calls the team's third shot and possibly their last chance, Chandler's ball curves toward the target, the crowd yells for it to keep turning, and it hits the Tesla. Johnny wins the car. Chandler declares he is better than Bryson DeChambeau, and Jimmy agrees for the moment. DeChambeau, who had joked earlier that he needed the car for a ride home because the bus dropped him off, now says he has to walk.

Darius vs. Druski: A Rising-Rim Dunk Contest

The last challenge before the finale features Darius, described as the world-record vertical jumper who famously jumped higher than a tiger, against the comedian Druski. Druski gets a trampoline. Both start on a standard 10-foot hoop, and the rim rises by half a foot each round until one can dunk and the other can't.

Darius treats 10 feet as trivial and adds a trick shot. Druski asks whether someone will test the trampoline first, and Jimmy jokes that he "won't die." Druski dunks while shouting "Make me like Mike!" and lands in a heap, but says he's fine. When Druski asks about prize money, Jimmy says this round is "about pride."

Both men dunk at 10.5 and 11 feet. Druski is visibly shaking before his 11-foot attempt and initially backs off. Jimmy reminds him that 200 million people will watch this. Druski then dunks while shouting "LeBron James!" Darius says 11.5 feet will be tough, and Jimmy draws a distinction: Darius touched both feet in the air when he beat Luna the tiger, but jumping that high is different from getting a ball over an 11.5-foot rim.

Chandler throws Darius an alley-oop at 11.5 feet, and Darius misses. That gives Druski the chance to win outright. After the crew hypes him up ("Everyone will respect you now"), he says people always have, runs in faster than the crew has ever seen him move, yells "I'm like Vince Carter!", and dunks. Druski claims he was the more athletic one from the start and then asks for water. His final verdict: Darius can jump higher than a tiger, "but not Druski."

The Grand Finale: 100 Kids vs. the Strongest Men on Earth

The tug of war finally begins. Jimmy points out that the strongest man just pulled a 50,000-pound plane, so in theory he should be able to drag 100 kids. The strongman replies that it sounds simple when Jimmy says it. The rule: pull the other team's red marker across the red line to win the round. Jimmy promises the kids Feastables if they win.

In the first round, the strongest man alone faces the 100 kids. The kids build momentum and pull the rope across the line, a result Jimmy describes as the kids "destroying" him.

Jimmy then brings out the 10 strongest men on earth. He says they total more than two tons of muscle, have won strongman competitions around the world, and together can lift the weight of four pickup trucks. The kids answer by chanting "You aren't scary!" From here, each round adds strongmen to see how many it takes to beat 100 kids.

The second round adds 2019's official world's strongest man. The kids yank the rope and win almost instantly. With four strongmen, the strong team holds briefly before the kids overpower them again. With six, the round starts neck and neck, but the kids dig in and drag the men over the line, calling it "light work." With eight "absolute giants," the men hold their ground for a stretch and it is closer than before, but the kids win again.

The final round puts all ten strongmen on the rope against the 100 kids. Jimmy says the team weighs more than 4,000 pounds and holds seven world championships between them. The men's side is urged to remember all their squats and years of training. The kids pull first, and the men lose ground, then steady and hold. One strongman slips, the kids keep pulling, and they drag the rope across the line. The video ends with Jimmy's verdict on the question he opened with: a hundred kids beat the 10 strongest men on the planet, and he says he can't believe the kids won.
