Overview

This is a gameplay video of the full release of the coin-pusher game RACCOIN: Coin Pusher Roguelike. While trying out the features added in the full release, the streamer first clears the standard 15 rounds. They then keep inflating the value of their coins in the newly added Endless Mode, eventually reaching a score of 10^68279. This article traces which coins and items they combined, and in what order.

The Game's Basic Mechanics

The game is round-based, with 15 rounds in total. Earning the required quota in each round lets you advance to the next. In the first round, you can drop 20 coins, and earning 35 points with them clears the round.

When a round ends, it's time to shop. You receive a currency called tickets as a reward, which you spend on special coins and items to prepare for the next round. In addition, pushing off coins well in the previous round triggers a bonus draw, and this time it spawned a coin tower on the stage. Simply using this tower to push coins off was enough to meet the quota for Round 2.

Early Strategy: Collecting "Companion Coins" to Raise the Value of Each Coin

The first thing the streamer set their sights on was the "Companion Coin." Early on, they collected as many of these as possible, with the strategy of increasing the value of each individual coin. To boost their appearance rate, they also bought an item that, when applied to a coin in their hand, increases the appearance rate of coins of the same type.

In Round 3, coins that interfere with the player are dropped in. Apparently, enemies appear every three rounds. As a countermeasure, the streamer bought a "Killer Coin," which hunts down its targeted prey. They also applied an effect that makes coins come back. In the actual round, the coin tower got in the way and the screen was almost impossible to see. Even so, the "Killer Coin" fired beams to attack the enemies and pushed coins off, meeting the quota.

Bringing in Gadgets and Clearing Out the Coin Tower

After that, the streamer continued buying "Companion Coins" in large numbers. Alongside them, they gathered the following coins and gadgets:

  • The "Tornado Coin," which lifts surrounding coins into the air
  • A fish bone that can be placed on the stage as an obstacle
  • A podium that periodically drops coins of a set type

They placed these on the stage and used the "Tornado Coin" to blow away the coin tower that had settled there. With that done, they advanced through the rounds powered by the "Companion Coins." In one round where it looked like the score would fall short, they made up the difference with an item that raises the value of surrounding coins to the same level as the "Companion Coins," and met the quota.

Switching to "Multi Coins" and 10 Million Points

Eventually, the streamer felt that "Companion Coins" alone weren't strong enough and brought in the "Multi Coin," which increases the value of coins it touches. When they threw a "Multi Coin" on top of a "Tornado Coin" that had gotten caught on the fish bone, the "Multi Coin" went wild, and the value of the coins it touched shot up all at once.

According to the streamer, the "Multi Coin" has been significantly nerfed since the demo. Even so, this combination produced 10 million points in one go. From then on, they decided that simply adding more "Multi Coins" would be enough, and also applied an item that increases the chances of obtaining them.

The Final Round and the Clear

In the final round, Round 15, the "Return" effect proved key. As the streamer explained, coins with "Return" applied come back, so the more you keep using them, the more you can keep increasing their value. The value of the coins grown this way reached 10^22. This brought them to the initial goal, completing a standard clear.

Endless Mode: Making Money and Duplicating Coins

Since Endless Mode was added in the full release, the streamer decided to keep going and push the score further.

The first thing they tackled was making money. They bought a chip that multiplies tickets by 1.3 every round. The streamer remarked that at this rate of growth, they would hardly ever be short on funds for shopping.

Next, they obtained a chip modeled on an astronomical observation device. They used it to mass-produce "Multi Coins" with Return. Here's how it works. First, dropping in about 12 regular "Multi Coins" causes the target coin to start glowing. Coins dropped in while it is in this state are duplicated instead of being consumed. So if you drop in a "Multi Coin" with Return, you gain one more of it. Repeating this process fills the clip in hand with coins that have Return. This set them up to keep firing returning coins endlessly.

The Explosion in Value with "Collapse Coins"

With the groundwork laid, the streamer switched their final main weapon to the "Collapse Coin." Its effect is to "add twice the value of surrounding coins to itself." However, thanks to all the prior preparation, it was apparently in a state where it could actually add an even more enormous value.

From Round 34 on, nothing other than "Collapse Coins" is needed. So they first cleared away the gadgets they had placed on the stage. They also cleared away the "Tornado Coin," which had become an obstacle, by dropping in several coins.

Next, they began dropping in "Collapse Coins" with Return. To make the effect work, they used a "Balance Doll" to equalize the value of the coins in the area at 10^1233. Then, using a chip's effect, they triggered the round-start effects upon exchanging coins. This multiplied the value of the coins by 10^627. According to the streamer, this multiplier can effectively be applied every time a "Balance Doll" is consumed. Indeed, when they repeated it two and then three times, the value grew by a factor of 10^627 each time. From then on, the streamer shifted to a strategy of buying up "Balance Dolls" and relentlessly collapsing coins.

One Hour Later: Ending at the PC's Limit

After continuing for about an hour, the screen began to freeze badly with every calculation, perhaps because the numbers had grown too large. The streamer said that on their own setup, which they call a "potato PC," they could no longer play properly. Deciding it was time to call it, they ended the session.

The final high score was 10^68279. The streamer wrapped up the video by describing the game as a coin-pusher where "big numbers make you smile."
