From a $1 Camel Ride to the Top of the Burj Khalifa: MrBeast Ranks Experiences by Price

Overview

The video sets out to answer a simple question: what does an experience look like at different price points, from a single dollar up to half a million? Jimmy (MrBeast) and his friends Chandler, Karl, Tareq and Nolan work up the price ladder: $1, $10,000, $50,000, $250,000 and finally $500,000. Jimmy promises the top tier will "blow your mind," and it ends with Jimmy standing on the tallest building in the world.

$1: Two Minutes on a Camel

The cheapest experience Jimmy could find was a camel ride. Jimmy asks how long a dollar buys, and the handler answers, "One dollar, two minute." Jimmy calls it "a great $1 experience." Jimmy had wanted to ride camels in Egypt, but those rides cost "way more than a dollar," so the plan is to add the pyramids in post-production instead.

Jimmy is warned to hold on tight and quickly finds out why: "this is a workout to stay on this thing." The camel puts the rider high off the ground, which prompts a joke that viewers now know what it's like to be as tall as Jimmy and Chandler. Then the two minutes run out.

$10,000: Dinner in a Hot Air Balloon

For $10,000, guests are taken 3,000 feet up in a hot air balloon that a chef uses as her kitchen. Jimmy admits it's "a little higher than I expected." The narration calls her a Michelin-star chef and explains the twist: she cooks with the flame from the balloon's burner. One course is fish cooked over that fire, which leads to the line "This fish never dreamed of being this high up."

Jimmy says all ten gourmet courses were "phenomenal" and recommends the experience to anyone with "an extra ten grand" who wants to impress someone on a date. Jimmy also asks the chef what she thinks of a Feastables bar, the chocolate brand Jimmy owns. She says it is "very good on balance" and that she likes "the crunch in the chocolate." Jimmy jokingly declares Feastables "Michelin star approved."

$50,000: Submarine vs. Safari

At the $50,000 tier, the group splits up so the two experiences can compete over which one shows more impressive animals.

Chandler and Karl are taken to what looks like a yacht. When Jimmy asks whether it seems worth $50,000 for a day, they say no. Jimmy then reveals the real plan: a private submarine expedition to the ocean floor. They have the submarine to themselves and can explore wherever they want, except crashing, which is "not allowed." They see fish before the dive even starts, including a barracuda, and later pass very close to rocks after checking that the distance is safe.

Jimmy also paid scuba divers to follow the submarine and film it from outside. In one prank, the group holds up a "Shark behind" sign to the divers and tells everyone inside to start "freaking out."

Meanwhile, Tareq and Nolan go on a $50,000 safari in Africa with one rule: they cannot leave until they see a lion. They spot a warthog, then scare it off by yelling, and one of them apologizes for shouting. They also see zebras, which prompts the comment that if they were a lion they would "always go for a zebra." Then elephants approach their vehicle. The elephants are described as "unnervingly close," the group says they "just got charged by an elephant," and one of them reports their heart "beating out of my chest."

The narration teases that the submarine will see more animals ("Spoiler. We will."). The safari pair disagree: "This is way cooler than a submarine. I'd rather see this than a fish." The video never names an official winner.

$250,000: Zero Gravity

The $250,000 experience is a parabolic flight. Jimmy explains that the company "will fly you up and then nosedive," which creates weightlessness inside the plane. The group floats upside down, throws objects to each other, and watches their water float out of its container.

On one drop they try to race to the other end of the cabin. It doesn't go well: one person shouts "I can't go anywhere!" and the narration concludes that "racing without gravity doesn't work so well." Karl then tries a leaf blower as a way to move around, which sends someone spinning out of control.

The flight also hosts a sponsored segment for MrBeast Lab Swarms, a toy line Jimmy says was created by the team. Jimmy describes how it works: pour water into a tube, shake it, and find out which Swarms you got. Jimmy says more than 119 of them can be collected. Doing it while weightless is harder than expected; Jimmy admits, "This isn't as easy as I thought."

$500,000: Dubai

Jimmy says the team traveled "all around the entire world" to film the video, and the top tier is set in Dubai, which Jimmy calls the "most luxurious metropolis in the entire world" and a city "carved from the desert but created for pleasure." Jimmy announces at the start that the day will end with standing on top of the tallest building in the world.

The first stop is a "500ft picture frame," followed by a hotel Jimmy calls a castle. The group's suite has three levels. The first two are described as magnificent, but the highlight is the third level, which is fully underwater and looks into an aquarium. Karl goes into the tank to tease the others from the other side of the glass. Jimmy notes that the tank holds more than 80 sharks and that the group will swim with them later.

Supercars, a Formula Car, and a Lamborghini Giveaway

Next, the group races at the Dubai Autodrome. They first drive F1-style karts, and Jimmy invites some of the biggest local creators to join them in supercars. The race comes with a lot of teasing. Someone tells Jimmy, "Come on, grandma," and another person says they don't think Jimmy "could drive slower if she wanted to." One of the drivers is called out for a move that is "really illegal."

While the others were "pretending to be race car drivers," Karl got to drive a real formula-level race car. It started rough ("Off to a rocky start"), but Karl calls it "the best day of my life."

Jimmy says the price of this experience also meant they got to keep a brand-new Lamborghini. After a short drive, Jimmy explains: "I'm not the kind of guy who likes to drive around sports cars," and besides, they can't find a parking spot. So Jimmy decides to give the car away. Jimmy asks people nearby whether they watch the channel and offers the car to one who says yes, but that person turns it down: "I'd prefer someone else to have it." A second person, also a subscriber, accepts and says they are "actually shaking right now." Jimmy uses the moment to remind viewers to make sure they're subscribed.

Courtside in Abu Dhabi

The group then travels to an NBA game in Abu Dhabi with courtside seats. Jimmy says the game "ended up turning into a photoshoot," with constant requests for photos. Jimmy also meets Steve Harvey and Russell Westbrook.

Water Park, Penguins, and the Shark Tank

With $200,000 of experiences still left, the group takes over a large water park and spends time with penguins, which surprises them given they're in the middle of the desert. One penguin is pointed out as "the alpha."

They then dive into the giant pool with more than 80 sharks and stingrays. Jimmy calls himself "Aquaman, the king of the sharks" and jokingly orders the sharks to attack Karl. One very large creature gets the reaction "That is a dinosaur!" and "That should not exist." At one point, someone jokes that the crew "just unplugged my oxygen."

A Restaurant "Straight Out of the Future"

Dinner is at a restaurant Jimmy calls "straight out of the future." The seats are spread far apart, and Jimmy says they've never sat so far from friends at a restaurant. The first appetizer has to be eaten in a single bite. Then the room transforms: the walls light up with full 360-degree interactive visuals that change with each dish and respond to touch. The friends compare it to a Call of Duty mission and a movie theater, and at one point they're "defending Earth" in a game. Jimmy admits, "I'm impressively bad at this."

Jimmy says that as impressive as the room was, the food and drinks are what made the experience unique. The nine courses range from freshly caught seafood to a golden wagyu burger, which Chandler, often picky, actually approves of. The final course was made just for the group and featured an image the others say is Chandler. Chandler insists, "That is not me."

An Infinity Pool in the Sky

Before the last two challenges, Jimmy tests their fear of heights at a pool more than 600 feet up. It's a 360-degree infinity pool with views over the whole city. Jimmy says the camera "does not do this justice" and points out that the island below is man-made. A section of the pool extends out over the edge, and the group sits there to take in the view: "We're on top of Dubai."

Skydiving, and the Friend Who Stayed in the Plane

Next is skydiving onto the man-made island. Jimmy calls falling out of the sky one of their biggest fears and says a video about experiences wouldn't be complete without facing it. The nerves show before takeoff: "If I don't make this, still upload the video!" On the climb, someone asks, "What are the odds I die?" and gets the answer "I don't know." As the plane approaches 10,000 feet, several people say they aren't ready, and one shouts, "Jimmy, I hate you! I changed my mind!"

The others jump. Jimmy calls it probably their "biggest fear ever" and says it was done "for you guys," then confirms after landing: "I'm not dead. I'm alive." On the ground, the group realizes Chandler is missing. Chandler never jumped: "Sorry Jimmy, I'm not doing it!" Jimmy says it's a good thing Chandler wasn't invited to the final experience.

Climbing to the Top of the Burj Khalifa

The last experience is the Burj Khalifa, which Jimmy describes as a 2,700-foot building. Getting to the top starts with a series of elevators that go up more than 160 stories. For the remaining 900 feet, Jimmy has to climb on foot, mostly up ladders.

Jimmy says they "underestimated how hard it is to get up to the top." After a full hour of climbing, there was still a lot of building left, and more than once Jimmy thought the top had been reached only to find more to go. Jimmy started to doubt whether to continue and says, "I don't know if I'm going to make it." What kept Jimmy going was the thought of being one of the few people ever to stand on top of the tallest building on Earth: "I knew there was no turning back."

At the top, Jimmy shouts, "I'm standing on top of the tallest building in the world!" and then admits it's terrifying, that looking down was a mistake, and that they might throw up. Jimmy jokes that Feastables tastes better on the ground, where they're "not on the verge of passing out."

Jimmy ends with a reflection on the climb. Jimmy says they have found "time and time again that when I face my fears, I usually end up enjoying it and learning a lot about myself." Jimmy encourages viewers to step outside their comfort zone and "do something you wouldn't normally do," because they'll probably enjoy it and learn about themselves.
